Chukat 1

I have a very strong feeling; you know like, that G-d didn’t tell Moshe Rabbeinu what to say to the rock. G-d says to Moshe, make up your own Torah. Make up your own Torah. Make up something on your own.

The Ishbitzer says something very deep.

What does it mean to learn? To learn means I learn everything I have to do so when the moment comes I know what to do. That’s called learning. Gadol B’Talmud Shemevi lema’ase. What are we teaching out children? They should know what to do. That when the moment comes they should know what to do; But then there are moments when all the learning doesn’t apply. It doesn’t apply or it’s meaningless.

What am I doing then? The question is…ok, I want to say a gevalt Torah.

You know what it means, really to learn?real learning gives me strength and knowledge to operate beyond what I learned.

I want to say one more thing, I think it’s the deepest depths. How much can we pour out our hearts to another person? I can tell you everything which happened to you and which happened to me all night. How much can I tell you the deepest of my own heart. It’s very, very hard. But imagine, could I pour out my heart the deepest, deepest, deepest depths in front of all of Israel . . ..

Now I want you just to take this in the deepest depths.

In order to talk to a stone, to make the stone give water can you imagine how much I have to pour out my heart and beg the stone to listen? That even a stone should be moved. Gevalt is that deep. To move a stone? You have to pour out your heart so deep. But now the question is, the question is the deepest, deepest depths. Are you that close that you can do it in front of all of Israel? Vedibarta El Hasela Le’einehem.(you shall speak to the rock infront of all of Israel eyes) Can you pour out your heart like that infront of all of Israel. Are you that close to all of them?

So what I want to say is that Moshe Rabbeinu, mamesh, you know, Shim’u Na Hamorim, you know I don’t feel that close to you because you did so much wrong, I’m sorry. I wish I could talk to you in front of, -I could pour out my heart to you, but you aggravated me so much, right. you know how much the Yidden aggravated Moshe. He says Shim’u Na Hamorim, yidden, I wish I could pour out my heart in front of you. I’m sorry I can’t but now I want you to open your hearts in the deepest way.

Ok, lets go back … I want to go one step deeper, you know. There is one thing: pouring out your heart before somebody else; but then the deepest, deepest, deepest depths is to pour out your heart before your own self.

I want to say a gevalt Torah. On Rosh Hashonna we are pouring out our heart before the whole world, Meloch Al Kol Ha’olam Kulo. On Yom Kippur we pour out our heart before every Jew in the world. Succos, I like to sit there with my whole family and pour out my heart with my whole family. Then Simchas Torah. But what I want to say is if Moshe Rabbeinu would have poured out his heart he would have brought so much love among the Yidden, Mashiach would have come; he would have gone to Eretz Yisrael. See, the truth is the time wasn’t right for Mashiach yet. So what I want to say is Moshe doesn’t go into Eretz Yisrael because the time isn’t there yet, but if he would have spoken to the stone he would have brought Mashiach.

Ok, now the question is how do you get this water? Ok, now I want to say something very strong, all the fences we have could be on the level of mamesh Vedibartem El Hasela, or it could be on the level of hidden and the saddest thing is Hema Mei merivah, all the machlokes (lack of love and dispute) among Yidden (jews) today is because we put on fences arround our selves. because if the fences would be on the level of Vayotze Meimav, it would be so sweet, it would come out by itself, we would accept all the fences. Anyway…
